Hope you got though April 1 without getting pranked–and if you did, I hope it was a lot of fun! I found a few good pranks played: Billy Crystal plays a good prank on Jimmy Kimmel’s cousin, Micki. This young lady played a prank on her mom who was driving. Thankfully she didn’t get in an accident–WARNING OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE!

Tee Off in Durham: Topgolf Launches with 102 Hitting Bays and More

[CBS17] Topgolf is set to open its long-awaited Durham location on April 12, providing 500 jobs. The venue features 102 hitting bays, a full-service restaurant, outdoor patio, and virtual golf courses. Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams anticipates economic benefits and increased entertainment options for the city.

From Wales to Cary: Wrexham A.F.C. Returns for Winner-Take-All Tourney

[NC News&Observer] Wrexham A.F.C., owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will compete in The Soccer Tournament at Cary’s WakeMed Soccer Park from June 5-10. The team, purchased in 2021, will field men's and women's teams in the competition for a chance to win $1 million. Last year, the Red Dragons made their U.S. debut in Cary, followed by a match against Chelsea F.C. at UNC Chapel Hill. This year, they return with both men’s and women’s squads.

Oak Island Pier to Close today for HGTV's 'Battle on the Beach' Filming

[WWAY] Oak Island Pier will close early for HGTV's 'Battle on the Beach' filming, shutting down at noon with filming continuing until midnight. Half the parking lot will close, but the pier house, restaurant, and coffee shop will remain open. A fireworks display off the pier is also planned, causing explosive sounds in the area. This marks the fourth season of the renovation competition show.
