PCP MON JUL 1: The end of Chevron Deference
IN THIS ISSUE: Celebrate the 4th of July in Riverfront Park | Fermental has new extended delivery areas

MONDAYS TOGETHER WITH

Good morning Wilmington!
Two important Supreme Court decisions on Friday:
1 - Ruling that prosecutors improperly charged some January 6 defendants.
2 - Decision to remove “Chevron Deference.” Chevron Deference was put in place in the 80’s allowing for agencies such as FBI, ATF, Natural Resources, etc…to interpret ambiguous parts laws at their discretion. With the removal of Chevron Deference, the laws must be explicitly followed as written and where there is question the law does not apply. This is considered a big win for the Constitution.
There is likely going to be another decision expected today on whether or not Donald Trump can claim immunity from election subversion case where he is said to have attempted to undermine the 2020 presidential election.
