IN THIS ISSUE: Amazon clinic? | Thanks for getting us there Hoggard!

MONDAYS TOGETHER WITH

Good Morning Wilmington!
We had some strong storms last night! Lots of wind and rain left hundreds without power–most of which has been restored. Storms also took a toll on Christmas decorations. It’s like the Grinch came through the neighborhood wreaking havoc–knocking them all down. He was particularly cruel to snowmen.

Wrightsville Beach renourishment work to begin soon
[WECT] “Starting this week, expect to see commercial vessels and marine equipment in Banks Channel, towards the south end of the beach, and into Masonboro Inlet. The contractor will begin stringing pipe in the water in Masonboro Inlet and its vicinity at this time. The pipe will remain in the water and run north to the placement area which begins just south of the Blockade Runner Hotel. The contractor will initially land their pipe on the beach in the vicinity of the Blockade Runner Hotel and work their way north. The pipe will be marked in the water and on the beach, please exercise extreme caution when in these areas,” a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announcement states.
Dredging and beach placement is set to begin on the week of Sunday, Dec. 17, according to a town announcement. Per the town, the project will likely wrap up “sometime between March and April 2024,”
