Intracoastal Angler Expands to Hampstead with Two New Locations

[WilmingtonBiz] Intracoastal Angler, a Wilmington-based fishing gear shop, is expanding to Hampstead with two new locations. The expansion aims to enhance customer service and attract more patrons to the marina.

State Board Approves Updated Health Education Standards

[WRAL] The State Board of Education in North Carolina has approved new healthful living standards, to be implemented in 2025. These standards cover hygiene, nutrition, physical activity, anatomy, and reproductive health. Some conservative groups oppose the changes, arguing they are too vague and do not emphasize abstinence enough. Meanwhile, some LGBTQ+ groups are disappointed by the lack of references to sexual orientation and gender identity. Despite this, the standards maintain legal requirements, including promoting abstinence before marriage.
