IN THIS ISSUE: Swatting Incident on Easter
Good Morning Wilmington!
I recently had a great experience with the folks at Stevens ACE Hardware on Market Street. The owners and employees are well-embedded and vested into the Wilmington community. They know how to help you and they don’t hesitate to do so. I highly recommend them. They’re an authorized dealer of Traeger smoker/grills, EGO electric power products and Stihl electric and gas landscaping products. They even sell electric skate boards and eBikes! I can’t recommend them enough. Before you consider making that trip to a big box hardware store, consider going to ACE where they know their products, know how to fix things and are available for help and advice.

Wake Forest Resident Falls Victim to Dangerous Swatting Incident on Easter
[WRAL] Wake Forest resident experienced swatting on Easter Sunday when numerous emergency vehicles swarmed his home due to a prank call. Swatting involves making false emergency calls to elicit a response from law enforcement. Reynolds, live streaming at the time, received a call instructing him to go outside, claiming a suspect was in his home. Wake Forest Police, taking such calls seriously, emphasized the toll it takes on resources and families. They're actively investigating the incident and remind the public that swatting is a serious crime.
