From Toilet to Tap: Town Brewing Creates "Renew Brew" with Recycled Water

[WWAY] Town Brewing in Charlotte has introduced the Carolinas' first recycled water beer, "Renew Brew," brewed with water from a wastewater treatment plant in northwest Mecklenburg County. Charlotte Water and Xylem partnered for the purification process. Despite its origin, experts deem the beer clean and delicious, representing innovation in water use.

Navassa Superfund Site Cleanup Underway: Thousands of Cubic Yards of Soil to Be Removed

[NC Newsline] Federal contractors have begun removing contaminated soil from the Navassa Superfund site in Brunswick County, a former wood treatment plant. The cleanup aims to make the area suitable for future use and housing. A community meeting tonight (6-7PM) will provide updates on the soil cleanup and other site-related topics.
