PCP: WED JAN 31: Cooper to focus on Reentry 2030 initiative

IN THIS ISSUE: Rouzer delegation | FASFA headaches

WEDNESDAYS WITH YOU

Good Morning Wilmington!

Hope everyone is doing well today. I overheard some people talking about how bad their commute is due to the work on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Sounds like a frustrating commute. It can’t be good for businesses either. Hang in there!

At 10:00 AM this morning: North Carolina House Republicans will hold a press conference to address the US border crisis, its impact on North Carolina, and to urge Governor Cooper to take more significant action on behalf of our state.

A lot of folks are concerned about the proposal for a significant insurance hike for NC coastal residents. As a reminder, public comments are encouraged until Feb. 2. North Carolina Realtors have put together this tool to help draft an email. Consider taking a few minutes to fill out this form and have your voice heard.

They argue against the potential surge, citing its impact on homeownership accessibility amidst existing financial strains caused by inflation. The letter highlights concerns over the proposed 42.2% statewide increase and over 99% increase in coastal counties, urging Commissioner Causey to intervene as citizens express opposition.

Cash

2-year old male pit bull terrier
Came in as an owner surrender as his family were splitting up. He full of energy, he really needs to learn basic commands and to walk better on a leash. However with the correct type of training collar (not the prong collars), this will be an easy fix. Cash has not really been treat motivated but more wanting direct attention. he is crate trained.
