PCP Wed Feb 24: Remembering Jimbo ❤️

The man behind Jimbo’s and the legacy he leaves in Wilmington.

Good morning Wilmington!

Wilmington lost a local legend this week. WECT shared the story of Jimbo Patsalos — the heart behind Jimbo’s Breakfast & Lunch House — and it’s hard to overstate what he meant to this community. In 1977, Jimbo, his wife Anna, and their son Nick came to Wilmington on a summer vacation. One look at this town and they knew: This is it. By December of that year, Jimbo’s opened its doors on College Road — and nearly five decades later, it’s still serving the same home-cooked meals with the same warmth.

If you’ve ever walked through those doors, you probably remember Jimbo sitting at that first counter stool, ready with a handshake or a hug. He wasn’t just running a restaurant — he was building relationships, one customer at a time.
