IN THIS ISSUE: American Red Cross opens shelter in Carolina Beach
TUESDAY TOGETHER WITH YOU
Good morning Wilmington!
Six years ago we our community was reeling from the affects of Hurricane Florence. Our neighbors to the south in Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and down past the Southport area are dealing with similar conditions of extreme flooding from yesterday’s tropical storm. As a result, a lot of flood damage and several people were left stranded on US 17.
If you’re frustrated with New Hanover County’s decision to open on time yesterday, you’re not alone. NHCS released a statement on their decision to remain open while announcing that students will be engaged in remote learning today so that the conditions of the schools can be assessed.
