NC Expands School Vouchers, Mandates Sheriff Compliance with ICE

[WWAY] The NC legislature overrode Gov. Cooper’s veto, passing a bill that expands private school scholarships, mandates sheriff compliance with federal immigration detainers, and funds K-12 enrollment growth and Medicaid. The law, criticized for potentially harming public schools and targeting immigrant communities, offers universal access to school vouchers and requires sheriffs to cooperate with ICE requests.

100 Men Who Care @ Bowstring

Today: 6PM @ Bowstring Burgers and Brewyard

The meetups are pretty simple. Three members will pitch three different local charities, then we all vote on one. Everyone writes a $100 check directly to the winning charity. We average about 30-50 people per event, so typically raise about $3k-$5k each time. Then we have some beverages and feel all good inside. For this event, we’ll be focused on just charities helping out Western NC.
