Carolina Beach Rolls Out Pedestrian-First Parking and Safety Plan
[WHQR] Carolina Beach’s new 2024-25 parking and pedestrian safety plan eliminates off-season parking fees and introduces infrastructure upgrades to better protect cyclists and pedestrians. From March through October, street parking will cost $5/hour (no daily max), while town lot parking rises to $6/hour or $25/day. The plan also pushes for more bike lanes, sidewalks, and education programs. Future improvements aim to earn Carolina Beach a “Walk Friendly” designation while balancing safety with tourism needs.

Dave & Buster’s to Hire 80+ Ahead of Wilmington Grand Opening
[WECT] Dave & Buster’s is opening its first Wilmington location at Mayfaire Town Center on May 26, and they’re hiring over 80 employees to staff the new venue. Available roles include everything from servers and bartenders to game techs and line cooks. General Manager Morgan Korous says the company offers great benefits and a high-energy workplace, making it an exciting opportunity for locals ready to be part of the eat-drink-play-watch experience.
