1,400 Native Trees to Be Given Away in Wilmington Today and Saturday

WECT The Alliance for Cape Fear Trees is giving away more than 1,400 native trees at Legion Stadium on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6. Residents can choose from a wide variety of species—including live oaks, red maples, bald cypress, sweetbay magnolia, and more. Certified arborists will be available on site to help with selection, planting tips, and long-term care guidance. Trees will be distributed while supplies last, making early arrival a smart move for anyone hoping to take home a pair.
