WEDNESDAYS TOGETHER WITH YOU

Good morning Wilmington!

Congratulations to Donald Trump on a successful campaign and a decisive victory that is sure to shift the political landscape. Not only did Trump win the White House, the Republican Party won both House and Senate. With experience from his first term combined with his powerful and influential new alliances, this administration will bring a uniquely transformative agenda over the next four years. Having already arranged many cabinet positions, Trump is poised to begin his term with a clear and deliberate path forward, ready to take action from day one.

On the state level, Democrat Josh Stein won North Carolina’s governorship, defeating Mark Robinson, while Rachel Hunt became lieutenant governor. Local races saw Republicans retain strongholds in the NC Senate and House, and victories across Brunswick, New Hanover, and other counties, shaping policies close to home for Wilmington residents.
