MONDAYS TOGETHER WITH YOU

Good morning Wilmington!

While mulching the endless piles of leaves in my backyard, I found myself grumbling—but then I thought of the people in Western NC, braving bitter cold in the teens and single digits, and those in Los Angeles who have lost everything. With so much extreme weather and hardship happening around the world, it doesn’t take long to pause and feel grateful for what we have.

In today’s Port City Pulse:

Youth Choir of Wilmington is accepting new members!

Calling all young singers ready to sing their hearts out - Youth Choir of Wilmington is accepting new members! Auditions will be held just prior to rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at 5:15pm at Cape Fear Presbyterian Church in Wilmington (2606 Newkirk Ave). UNCW Installs New Video Board at Brooks Field, Elevating Fan Experience

[WWAY] UNCW Athletics announced the installation of a new Daktronics video board at Brooks Field, enhancing the fan experience for the 2025 baseball season. The main board, measuring 22.8 x 34.8 feet, will display scores, a pitch count, and sponsor panels. A smaller board will be installed behind home plate. Head Coach Randy Hood praised the addition, funded by donors, as a game-changer for fans. The Seahawks kick off their season Feb. 14-16, hosting Quinnipiac and Georgia, ranked 4th nationally.
