Good morning Wilmington!
Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, and today he would be 94 years old. While he is best known for his leadership in the civil rights movement and his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech, he was also a vocal critic of war—particularly the Vietnam War. On April 4, 1967, he delivered a speech titled "Beyond Vietnam – A Time to Break the Silence." Exactly one year later, on April 4, 1968, he was tragically assassinated.

Cape Fear Under 'Very High' Fire Danger Alert
[NC State] The Cape Fear region is under a "Very High" fire danger warning for the next few days, according to the NC Forest Service and State Climate Office.
