FRIDAYS TOGETHER WITH YOU

Good morning Wilmington!

Campaign signs may be effective and necessary, but they certainly clutter our roads. Imagine selecting a well-represented stretch of road and counting how many signs remain two weeks after the election. It would be interesting to see who takes responsibility for cleanup—tracking Democrats vs. Republicans and winners vs. losers.

North Carolina Early Voting Surpasses 3 Million, New Records Expected

[Carolina Journal] North Carolina has seen strong early voting turnout, with over 3.3 million ballots cast so far—around 40% of registered voters. Early voting is up compared to the same time in 2020, although total turnout still trails by about 300,000 votes. Notably, Republican and unaffiliated young voters have increased participation, while Black and Democratic turnout has declined, which could impact results. Early voting ends on Saturday, Nov. 4, with Election Day set for Nov. 5.
