Wilmington Spends $6K Investigating Critical Facebook Page

[WECT] The City of Wilmington spent over $6,000 on a third-party investigation into a Facebook page critical of city and police leadership. The investigation, conducted by Raleigh law firm Jackson Lewis, involved witness interviews and analyzing online activity but concluded without clear findings. The probe coincided with a $75,000 investigation into Wilmington Police Department leadership, which substantiated complaints against the police chief. City officials and the law firm have not commented on the investigations.
