FRIDAYS TOGETHER WITH YOU

Good morning Wilmington!

I thought I knew a lot about cars but today I recently that in 1985 Honda made a car with two engines.

In today’s Port City Pulse:

  • Night of a Thousand Candles

  • United offering flights to Chicago

  • Toys for Tots

Night of a Thousand Candles

4:00 PM-9:00 PM at Brookgreen Gardens near Myrtle Beach - $35

Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Brookgreen Gardens, illuminated by over 2,700 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights. Wander through the garden pathways from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a warm cup of cider, cocoa, or wine while enjoying the festive sounds of holiday music and carolers.

There are still some tickets available for this weekend also for New Years Eve and the week after New Years.

United Adds Daily Wilmington-Chicago Flights and New Denver Service

[WWAY] United Airlines is expanding its service from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) next summer. Daily flights to Chicago O’Hare will replace the current weekend-only service, and new Saturday nonstop flights to Denver will be introduced. This makes Denver the third United hub accessible from Wilmington, joining Chicago and Newark. The additions respond to high passenger demand and offer Wilmington travelers increased connectivity to major destinations.

Toys for Tots Brings Holiday Cheer to Storm-Affected Brunswick Families

[WECT] In Boiling Spring Lakes, Toys for Tots brought holiday joy to families impacted by flooding from a September storm. Volunteers distributed gifts like bikes and toys, organized with community support. Local resident Tiffany Braden helped coordinate, while Santa Claus brought smiles. Over 1,000 toys will be distributed across Brunswick County on Dec. 21. Donations of toys and home rebuilding supplies are still needed.
