PCP Fri Nov 8: Whiskey & Wisdom

IN THIS ISSUE: Wilmington's Growth Surge | ILM expands non-stops to Fort Myers and Hartford

FRIDAY TOGETHER WITH YOU

Good morning Wilmington!

Alex Richardson hosted the event | Justin Powell was the keynote speaker | The event was held at Azalea Station in the Cargo District

Last night, I attended the Whiskey & Wisdom event hosted by Alex Richardson of the 4th Trimester Mission. It was a meaningful gathering supporting an important cause. The evening featured an inspiring keynote by Justin Powell from the Every Dad Project, followed by a panel where dads shared personal stories and insights on being better fathers and husbands. Resources for navigating this critical role are scarce, making events like this essential.

Dad panel offered advice on how to be a better dad and husband

Attendees enjoyed whiskey tastings and appetizers, with proceeds benefiting the 4th Trimester Mission, supporting new mothers and families in the crucial postpartum phase.

Wilmington's Growth Surge: What the Future Holds

[Port City News] Wilmington, NC, is set to become one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing cities, with projections to double in size by 2030. Its attractive lifestyle, business growth, and rising population are driving this change. However, rapid growth also presents challenges, including housing affordability, traffic congestion, environmental concerns, and strained public services. To manage these changes, Wilmington must invest in sustainable infrastructure, promote affordable housing, and protect its natural environment. Through proactive planning, the city can continue to grow while preserving its unique charm.
