Sip & Stroll: Wilmington’s Social District Brings Drinks & Foot Traffic Downtown

[WWAY] Wilmington’s Brooklyn Arts District is testing a new “Social District” where visitors can stroll with drinks in hand on select Saturdays from 12 to 5 PM. The initiative spans from North Front Street to Taylor Street and aims to boost foot traffic for local businesses. Drinks must be consumed or discarded before entering other ABC-licensed establishments. Locals and business owners are excited about the potential impact on tourism and community growth. The pilot program continues this month with a benefit event and a Valentine’s Day stroll.
