Former Line Cooks Turned Co-Owners Take the Helm at Wilmington’s Oldest Brewery

[WECT] Front Street Brewery, Wilmington’s longest-running brewery, has new owners—but they’re no strangers to the business. Sam Sumner and Josh Cranford started as line cooks years ago, working their way up to co-owners. Cranford, who started in 2007, convinced Sumner to return after culinary school, and now they’re running the brewery together. Despite the leadership change, the duo has no plans for major changes, promising to continue the traditions that have made Front Street Brewery a local favorite for nearly 30 years.

A Local Duo Is Taking on The Amazing Race—Will They Go the Distance?

[WECT] Leland residents Courtney Ramsey and Jasmin Carey are set to compete in Season 37 of The Amazing Race, premiering March 5 on CBS. The duo, both nurses, will take on a globe-spanning adventure featuring new twists, high-stakes challenges, and exotic destinations like Japan, Dubai, and Bulgaria. This season, dubbed the “Season of Surprises,” introduces The Fork in the Road, a new challenge that could lead to double eliminations. As they race toward the $1 million prize, Ramsey and Carey will navigate mental and physical tests, stunning landscapes, and intense competition.
