N.C. DMV Introduces Polycarbonate Driver Licenses with Enhanced Security

[NCDOT] ID cards featuring advanced security measures to combat fraud. Made of 100% polycarbonate and personalized with laser engraving, these cards are more secure and durable. The design includes North Carolina symbols like the dogwood flower and state flag, with over 50 security features. Production starts this week, with the old design phased out by June's end.

Why Did the Turtle Cross the Road?

[WWAY] Turtle crossings are increasing in Carolina Beach due to mating season and recent heavy rain. Jeremy Bivins of Coastal Wildlife Alliance advises drivers to slow down and assist turtles crossing the road when safe. He also cites habitat loss from local development as a contributing factor. Injured turtles should be reported to wildlife agencies.
