If you’re near UNCW today around noon, know that UNCW will test its outdoor siren system. This is only a test and no action is needed from the public.

[WRAL] Starting this spring, new state law may force bars to stop serving appetizers due to public health standards. Bar owners face financial strain to meet requirements, including food safety training and equipment upgrades. Some argue they can't afford the changes. The law, previously exempting private clubs, now subjects bars to food safety regulations, impacting their ability to serve prepared foods like hot wings. Implementation postponed to March, allowing more time for compliance.
