As summer winds down, what a great time for concerts! The weather is cooling off and they sun sits a little lower. Meanwhile we have such greats as Tedeschi Trucks Band playing tonight, Keller Williams this weekend and TWO nights of Widespread Panic next weekend. The best part is, it’s not too late to get tickets

Imagine a train line running from Raleigh to Wilmington

[Port City Daily] You might not have to imagine it. NC leaders are interested in taking advantage of federal funding grants to build aline starting (or ending) at Raleigh and crossing through Goldsboro, Warsaw and Wallace before reaching Wilmington.

NC casino, gambling proposals on the table

[WRAL] - …House Republicans met behind closed doors for more than three hours Tuesday in part to go over proposals to legalize four new commercial casinos and abandon a decades-long push to excise video poker machines from bars and gas stations around the state in favor of regulating and taxing the slot-machine-style games. Speaker of the House Tim Moore said later in the day that it will take some time to tally up support, and that these plans won't come up for a vote without at least 50% support among the House's Republican majority.

3 Year old adult Plott Hound

Approximately 3 year old spayed female. She came in as a "stray" but we quickly found out whom the actual owner was. She has high energy & really needs an active family. Per the previous owner, no chickens. Needs at least basic training. Enjoys all types of toys

Can be a barker at times. Camila has been a sweet girl with the staff here and is learning to "sit" at feeding time. If you have another dog, a meet and greet is required

[WilmingtonBiz] Port City Java and Flying Machine Brewing Company are the latest in a string of new food and drink options for the growing number of passengers traveling through ILM. The airport also has plans to add a Jimmy John’s, Dunkin’ and a new convenience store.
