[WRAL] North Carolina's Medicaid program is set to undergo a significant expansion, with approximately 300,000 people transitioning into the system, including those covered under a limited version for reproductive health. The state health hope to swiftly enroll individuals from the existing program, while others are encouraged to apply online through the ePass program or in person, anticipating potential delays. Single adults qualify if they make $20,120 or less a year. For a family of four, the cutoff is $41,400.

Carolina Beach begins sale of Freeman Park annual permits

Permit purchases made in December must be done in person and will qualify for the $110 dollar early bird rate plus applicable fees. Permits will be available online starting January 1st.

In-person purchases may be made using cash or credit/debit cards at one of the following locations:
