[AP News] Titled “Hackney Diamonds,” the band will share details of the release at an event in East London’s Hackney district on Wednesday, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will be interviewed live by “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon.

Southport warns community about scam involving people claiming to be police

[WECT] - The City of Southport on Tuesday warned the community about a scam targeting the local area.

Per the city, the scam involves people posing as city police officers asking people for money.

Adopt a Pet: Maverick

Approximately 10-11 month old neutered male – Great Pyrenees

Maverick and his brother came in as an owner surrender.

These boys have never been exposed so they really need a family that knows this breed. They have been around kids per the previous owner. Maverick does need work with leash walking and more self confidence boosting.

If you have another dog, a meet and greet IS REQUIRED! MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BREED!

An educator will be in our Butterfly House discussing the life cycle of a butterfly and the different types of butterflies you can see in the house that week. Butterflies will then be released into the Butterfly House.

Bring your best friend to cool off at the Legion Stadium pool this week to participate in Pooch Plunge sponsored by the City of Wilmington and the YMCA. The cost is $5 per dog per day.
