Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a pivotal moment in history that changed the course of World War II and shaped the world we live in today.

President Biden commemorated 80th Anniversary of D-Day in France this morning @6:30 AM. The entire commemoration will be rebroadcasted @1:52 PM on C-Span. There will also be a ceremony commemorating 80th Anniversary of D-Day in Washington, DC - Live on C-Span at 10 AM.

The Daily Mail offers an impressive interactive webpage which helps illustrate the events of D-Day as they happened.

It is said that 25 years makes a generation. Based on this, D-Day was three generations ago. A lot can be lost in a generation–let alone three. It seems more important than ever to keep these stories alive and help the younger generations understand the impact of this important day.

NHCS Deletes Pride Month Message Amid Policy Dispute

[WHQR] New Hanover County Schools celebrated Pride Month on social media but deleted the post, citing policy compliance. The school board is also voting on controversial issues, including the Battle of the Books program and selecting new legal representation.
