This year’s PCRJ will take place at Bowstrings Burgers & Brewyard this Saturday, August 3rd from 11:00 AM - 10:30 PM. The Rock Jam will feature 10 bands on two stages. NC Environmental Commission Delays GenX Water Standards
[WWAY] The NC Environmental Management Commission (EMC) has again postponed starting the rulemaking process to regulate "forever chemicals" like GenX in groundwater and surface waters. Despite new federal drinking water standards for some PFAS by the EPA, the EMC has delayed action due to missing fiscal analyses. The decision has drawn criticism from environmental advocates, highlighting the health risks to affected populations. The next EMC meeting is on September 12.
