Carolina Beach's iconic Britts Donut Shop reopens this weekend

Britts Donut Shop, a beloved Carolina Beach establishment, is reopening its doors this weekend, as confirmed by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce. Famous for its signature homemade glazed donuts, Britts offers a unique treat that has been cherished by locals and visitors alike for years.

Throughout March and April Britt’s hours are as follows:
Friday: 4PM-10PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM–10PM
Sunday: 8:30 AM-5PM (or until they sell out of donuts)

Chief Haraway Steps Down Amid Staff Backlash and Petition

[WWAY] Wrightsville Beach Fire Chief Josh Haraway resigns amid allegations of toxicity, effective March 28th. Haraway was on leave since January 19th after a petition, signed by over 556 staff members, cited a toxic work environment. Matt Holland appointed Acting Fire Chief, with no word on a permanent replacement.
