PCP: THUR FEB 15: Bigger grows

IN THIS ISSUE: Pellet pollution | Fire chief under fire

THURSDAYS TOGETHER WITH YOU

I mentioned in an article last Tuesday how you can purchase bulk chicken from House of Raeford. This is a great way to stock up and save on chicken. I ended up purchasing 40-lbs. of chicken wings and splitting an order of 40-lbs. of boneless thighs with a friend. I picked up the order on Saturday The process of picking up is pretty simple and takes very little time. You don’t even have to get out of your car. You show up with your order number and they put the chicken in your truck. It’s that easy!

The chicken comes in a box with four 10-lb. plastic bags.

After bringing the chicken home we put them in vacuum-sealed bags for freezing. 40-lbs. of chicken wings– is approximately 285 wings. 40-lbs of thighs is approximately 108 thighs.

I’ll let you know when they come around again!

[WWAY] Residents near Enviva Biomass in the Port of Wilmington are troubled by increasing sawdust emissions blanketing their homes. Despite complaints to authorities and Enviva, little action has been taken. Enviva faced similar issues in Hamlet, NC, settling a lawsuit in 2019.
