[WWAY] Filming for a new feature-length film commenced in downtown Wilmington, led by BR Films. The production, part of a BET+ original, is set to last approximately two weeks at the corner of 5th Ave and Walnut St. Further details about the film remain undisclosed.

Sand, Surf, and Safety: Marinex Construction Wraps Up Wrightsville Beach Project

[The Seahawk] Wrightsville Beach's renourishment is nearing completion. Marinex Construction Inc. undertook the project to deepen the coastline, provide storm protection, and preserve habitats. The initiative, expected to finish this week, moves around 1 million cubic yards of sand to bolster the beach against erosion and enhance resilience to storms.

Battle of Ideologies: Christian Conservative Morrow Surprises in NC Superintendent Race

[CBS17] In a surprising upset, Michele Morrow, a Christian conservative, won the primary election for North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction, defeating Catherine Truitt. Morrow faces criticism on her statements such as calling public schools “Indoctrination Centers.” Despite having less political experience and campaign funding, Morrow's advocacy for educational reform resonated with voters. Now, she faces Democratic nominee Maurice Green in the general election. CBS17 interviews Michele Morrow after her win.
